Mohammad Ramiz Yousufi is an Afghan humanitarian and development professional from Balkh Province with extensive experience in humanitarian assistance, disability inclusion, community development, and higher education.
He was born in 1993 in Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh Province, Afghanistan. Mr. Yousufi completed his secondary education at Sultan Ghiasuddin High School before pursuing higher education in India.
He earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Political Science from the University of Pune, Maharashtra, India, where he developed a strong academic foundation in public policy, governance, institutional management, and development administration.
Following the completion of his postgraduate studies, Mr. Yousufi returned to Afghanistan to dedicate his career to humanitarian and development work. Throughout his professional journey, he has worked with national and international organizations in the design and implementation of programs supporting vulnerable communities, with particular emphasis on persons with disabilities, social inclusion, rehabilitation, and community-based development.
In addition to his humanitarian work, Mr. Yousufi has served as a university lecturer, contributing to higher education through teaching, mentoring, and the development of future professionals in the fields of public administration and social sciences.
Mr. Yousufi has consistently advocated for the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities at both provincial and district levels. His work has focused on promoting disability inclusion, equal access to services, community participation, and the realization of the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities in accordance with national legislation and international human rights standards.
He is recognized for his commitment to inclusive development, strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and partnership building with government institutions, civil society organizations, and international development partners. His professional mission is to contribute to sustainable, inclusive, and resilient communities through evidence-based programming, humanitarian principles, and equitable development practices.
As the Founder and Executive Director of the Organization for Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities (OEVC), Mr. Yousufi continues to lead initiatives that strengthen the resilience and socioeconomic empowerment of vulnerable populations across Afghanistan through inclusive, community-driven, and sustainable development interventions.
